FAQ: “Why wouldn’t a playground be available to everyone?”
Many people do not realize the challenges traditional playgrounds create for children of all abilities. Tall structures with ladders or steps prevent access for kids who use wheelchairs or other mobility devices. Metal slides generate static electricity, which can disrupt hearing aids and cochlear implants. Standard swing seats lack the necessary support for infants and children with disabilities.

Imagination

Social Inclusion

Independence
Kids build self-confidence through independent play. That’s why our playgrounds are designed to provide the freedom of play, allowing them to explore and navigate the space on their own.
Active Motion
Active motion is essential for all children, especially those with sensory processing differences. The rhythmic motion of spinning can be calming. It is especially beneficial for children with autism, supporting self-regulation and inclusive play for all.
Graduating Complexity
Our inclusive playgrounds use gross motor equipment with Easy, Medium and Hard ratings, allowing children to develop skills at their own pace. Graduated complexity ensures every child can be challenged during play at their own developmental level.

Unlimited Play proudly partners with Little Tikes Commercial as the exclusive provider of our inclusive play structures and recreational equipment. Through this partnership, we provide a variety of resources, including: educational curriculum, training, workshops, fundraising support, community outreach, and more. Two Levels of Inclusive Playground Design
Platinum Certification
Platinum playgrounds are designed to be fully inclusive. These playgrounds are an ideal choice for an expansive inclusive play destination. The layout encourages parallel play, incorporates sensory play elements, and offers ramping to even the highest points of the playground for all visitors to enjoy.
Gold Certification
Gold playgrounds are an inclusive play solution for projects with a limited space or budget, with a layout that incorporates features of parallel play and sensory play. Designs allow entry to a first or second deck, and include accessible surfacing to provide easy access to slides for individuals using mobility devices.
