About Logan’s Community Playground

Logan Zielinski was born on January 29, 2009, a happy healthy boy who loved life. Logan always made sure everyone was included and no one was left out of the fun. Logan grew up at St. Johns-Mehlville United Church of Christ and became the “church kid” full of energy as he ran up the aisle each Sunday for Children’s time. His zest for life was contagious as he brought joy and humor to all he met.

In June 2021, Logan was in a terrible accident that took his life. In true Logan form, he became an organ donor, passing on life to others in need. In an effort to channel their grief, the family of Logan along with members of St. Johns-Mehlville UCC decided to honor Logan by building a playground where all kids could play no matter their abilities. Logan will live on forever in our hearts for the world was his playground.
